About Us

Andrew is a chartered structural engineer and member of both The Institution of Structural Engineers, and Engineers Australia. With varied structural experience including structural design, structural site supervision and design management.

Starting his career with a global engineering consultancy working with structural steel and reinforced concrete on large scale commercial, educational and industrial projects. He then gained international experience working in Queensland, Australia for 4 years, gaining chartered accreditation with Engineers Australia in the Civil and Structural Colleges, and entering on to the National Engineering Register.

Following his return to the UK he worked for a medium sized consultancy working on projects in the educational, commercial and industrial sectors.

More recently Andrew has worked for a smaller consultancy with varied work in the residential and industrial sectors. Completing a large number of residential extensions and new build houses, as well as steel portal frame industrial units.

In recent years Andrew has completed his own self build allowing a service based on experience for homeowners and self builders.

This varied experience allows Andrew and Lordstone Consulting to offer a wide range of services including house extensions, renovations and new builds, as well as industrial, commercial structural design.
